Review: MAC Mineralize Eyeshadows

If only I can afford to buy all these MAC mineralize eyeshadows, I would buy it at one time. So far, I have three (3) of these in shades of natural flare, sea and sky, and odd couple. These pots weigh 2.2g/0.07 US OZ each. They are pretty, cute, small little pots. I remember before I started to blog, I have read a page in ELLE Magazine August 2012 issue that they feature models with very colorful shimmery eyes in their beauty book. These are the product of reading ELLE. lol

Galaxy Inspired Nail Art!

Have you seen Disney's newest animation, Brave? Well if you did, you might have seen the short film "La Luna". It was so cute and adorable especially looking at the Starry Skyline. It was oh so beautiful!  If you are curious about it, go to the nearest cinemas and catch Brave! You will love it for sure.

Also, you need some catching up to Beyonce's latest performance for “World Humanitarian Day, I Was Here.” Such a strong song and it gives me goose bumps knowing that I am blessed compared to a greater population. Uhhhmmm, before giving in to my emotions, let’s get back to the topic. Ahhahahha the stage was amazing and the background was so inspiring! Have you noticed the galaxy? Full of stars, planets, lights!

I was so inspired by these two clips that I decided to re-create the galaxy in my nails! Mind you, while I was watching the mid-season finale of Pretty Little Liars, At kept looking at my nails! Ahhahahah it was just sooo amazing that I can get lost just looking at it. Even my husband too can't get his eyes of my nails!

Brace yourself; I will take you now to the Galaxy...

STEP 1. Prepare all the necessary lacquers and tools; scissors, tweezers, toothpick, foam and nail polish remover.

                1. Black lacquer
                2. Blue lacquer
                3. Yellow lacquer
                4. Pink lacquer
                5. White lacquer
                6. Glitter lacquer
                7. Base and Top coat

STEP 2. Apply your base coat to protect your natural nails and to provide a smooth canvass for your Galaxy design. Then, apply 2 coats of black lacquer and let it dry.

Review: Bourjois 16 Rose Coup de Foudre Blusher

I bought this little pot together with the bronzing powder. This blusher is pretty, shimmery but not too much. It comes with a mirror and a brush. Again, the texture of the brush is rough so I actually use my finger to pat on my cheekbones. I believe this comes in 12 shades. I chose the 16 Rose since it compliments my skin.I think the 34 Rose D'or is pretty also. Worth buying at SGD20.90 (Php750.00). It smells like the old talc that my mom used before.

I can't say much about this blush because it will not be in the market for almost 150yrs for nothing. A great high-end feel blusher.

Overall, very fine pretty natural blusher. Highly recommended. And yeah!It does not trigger any allergic reaction on my cheeks like other blushers do. Now I am torn between two blushers. One is the Body Shop's Lily Cole Lip and Cheek Dome.

If you have any experience with Bourjois Blusher, please share your experience with me by writing a comment below or you can email me at

Love Lots,

Outfit of the Day-My Blazer Obsession!

It is difficult to find a blazer that suits my body. I am short and plum but that does not mean I give up from there. It actually challenges me. When I go to shops, I always dig into the blazer section, trying to find a good fit, and at the same time not too pricey. Blazers are always pricey. This obsession started in college from a friend of mine which was a brown single-breasted blazer which was a bit tight on my arms as I remember it. It looked good on me, I was comfortable wearing it.I started to buy from boyfriend, short-fitted, tux to peplum blazers. And Oh!You don't have to spend much for a good blazer. I bought a lovely blazer from Malaybalay City, Bukidnon last time in one of those ukayukays and it cost me Php120.00 (USD4.00/SGD5.00) only and it was amazing. You just have to be patient sometimes.

I don't have a specific preference of the blazer I used but the most important thing to wear a blazer is to understand your size, shape, and height.

Today, I am wearing a white fitted boyfriend blazer and just  scrunch the sleeves up. I don't like to roll up my sleeves because it's too serious and boring for me. I pair my blazer with a blue pants and tucked in printed razor back, a to-go accessory and a teal painted nails. And That's It!

Review: Bourjois Délice de Soleil Bronzing Powder

I have been eyeing this bronzing powder for quite sometime now because of its reputation over the internet. It is an interesting fact to me that this brand is owned by Chanel or vice versa. I have an NC25-30 skin tone so a little bit bronzing powderwill help my pale skin. I bought this in color 12 for fair/medium skin at SGD26.00 (Php910.00-Philippine peso) in BHG Bishan Junction 8, Singapore. My first concern is if this will suit my overly sensitive skin.

So here's the product info.:

· Cocoa bean – radiance
· Orange blossom extract – hydration
· SPF 15 – mineral filter (sun protection)
· Non pore blocking
· The product creates a natural summer tan
· Radiant complexion
· The texture is soft and comfortable on the skin

Allergic Reaction: This is my first time to use a bronzing powder and so far serves well to my very sensitive skin. Yey!

Peplum Wednesday!

Peplum skirts, blouses, and dresses are definitely in my closet. One main reason, to hide my big tummy!lol
I believe I got  this a size bigger that is why the shoulder is quite drapey but it's ok because I got this at 50% off. I used pins to let it stay put *wink*.

Flowery Tuesday Outfit of the Day!

I decided to wear a sheer flowery black long sleeve, body-con red skirt, and a pair of pump shoes from. I really don't like to use dramatic accessories to go into any flowery shirt or dress. A bangle and a ring will do.

I am happy it's not hot today, so I put on some red lipstick and winged eyes.

The Gorgeous Lashes!

This is a short review of my favorite mascara so far. I love this Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Waterproof Mascara. I have tried and used other mascaras were I was disappointed a few times. The once I used before were smudgy and messy when I put at the outer and inner lashes of my eyes but this mascara so far is clean and easy to put on maybe  because of the curved-design of the brush.

My  lashes are long and curvy but the hair are fine, so this mascara gives the desired volume I want by building maybe about three layers. This generally lengthens my lashes especially my lower lashes which I absolutely love. And the smell, yes the smell of this mascara is not as strong as the previous mascaras I have tried and used that caused my headaches. This is the best mascara I used so far with an affordable price of  SGD20.90 only (Php730.00) complete with (1) Maybelline lip balm.
Cons: Clumpy and flaky at times

Note:If you bought one in Philippines, please let me know the exact price. Thanks!

And also, earlier this evening I passed by BHG in Bishan's Junction 8 Mall here in Singapore and bought some products from BOURJOIS which I've been eyeing for quite sometime. And now, I finally grabbed the Delice de Soleil bronzing powder and the famous blusher in 16 Rose Coup de Foudre. Some sources says that Chanel is owned by Bourjois and some sources says the other way around. I will search further tomorrow when I'll post a review about these two (2) products.

Whew! I am so sleepy now and I want to go to my dreamland.. Goodnight everyone!

Lacy Me!

It's Monday again and bound for piles of work...Hmmmm.. Let us see how challenging my workload this week but anyway, I started my work-week with a touch of daintiness.

I have been a fan of  anything sheer, chiffon, and lacy from young. I feel like I am a real woman or maybe I got this obsession from my grandmother, Mama Mila, who is absolutely my inspiration of great style. Soon, I will post some pictures of her *wink*.

Let's get back to my outfit of the day!

Philippine Flag Nail Art!

+ the Katipuneros' Inspired Nails!

It's the National Heroes Day in Philippines, a commemoration of "the Cry of Balintawak" that happened around the year 1896. Basically, it started the Philippine Revolution against the Spanish regime and was popularly remembered as Katipuneros, led by Andres Bonifacio, tore up their CEDULAS or known as Community Tax Certificates.

Well, that is how I remembered it being taught back in school. hahahahha... I was very serious with my studies back then. Moving on with this inspiration, the first thing that came up to my mind is the Philippine Flag and the old Katipunero flag having red rectangular cloth with 3 K's printed or back then embroidered on it.

BB Cream Craziness!

I have read about these amazing BB creams and I really don't know how to use this since I  really don't put creams on my face not that my face is smooth but because I'm allergic to creams and had severe acne before. Whenever I put on creams, after an hour or so, new pimples will pop-out and red spots occur on some parts of my face. Anyways, BB stands for Blemish Balm which has the advantages of both skin care and make-up. It was actually started as a therapeutic moisturizers for patients who undergone laser surgery/chemical peel. Enough of the history! Let's start my first BB cream experience.

I was really curious about BB creams 4 months ago, I went to Watsons store in Bishan, SG and grabbed this MAYBELLINE CLEAR SMOOTH 8-IN-1 SKIN TRANFORMER which is about SGD15.90 (PHP550.00)  and about PHP229.00 in Philippines which is way cheaper (online searches).

What Red Lipstick is Red For You?

Women are overly crazy with RED lipsticks. I am on the average. I love red but I don't know why I only love to wear it in a cold place like in my hometown in Philippines (Malaybalay City, Bukidnon). Maybe Singapore is too humid for me, so I usually wear it once or twice a week but I definitely love this for special night events. Ok, let me go through with the three lipsticks I have here.
wearing revlon really red

This is the latest lipstick I have and I am absolutely surprised with the quality in ratio of the price. I have not seen any stores selling NYX here in Singapore but my roommate said there is one in Novena Square Shopping Mall. I usually buy my Nyx products via online.
All I can say is that Nyx Snow White is gorgeous red with blue undertones. This lipstick is creamy so it looks like you put a gloss over it. The color is too much for daytime wear but definitely a go-to for night affairs. The darkest tone among the three. What I don't like about Snow white is that it smudges easily on my lips or maybe because Singapore is just too humid. Absolutely affordable from SGD5.90-7.50ea here in Singapore and PHP220.00-280.00ea in Philippines(online searches).

I Color Myself Blue!

A pure blue is the color of inspiration, sincerity and spirituality.
Put some blue in your life when you want:calm and relaxation to counteract chaos or agitation,to open the flow of communication, to broaden your perspective in learning new information, solitude and peace.

So,  I color myself BLUE!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

I always love this saying, "forever classy" , so usually  I combine a classic color to the bright color either  with my accessories, my bag or my makeup. But remember,  you can always wear any color you want to wear as long as you can carry it *wink* . For this look, I combined my bright blue pants with white top (with pastel prints). My sky blue bow with my hippie brown crystal bracelet. I can't forget my ever suede green shoe .

Street Fashion is Yay!

I am knocked-off when people say that what makes a person beautiful is her/his size. Size 2?Yay!? Size 14?Nyay!?I am chubby but I love myself. And because I love myself, I don't care what people say with what I am wearing as long as I am happy. This is why street fashion is "Yay!" for me, being yourself no matter what your size, shape, and age.

Street fashion is fashion that is considered to have emerged not from studios, but from the grassroots. Street fashion is generally associated with youth culture
If you are a goth, a hippie, a hiphop, a barbie, a punk, or whatever your style maybe, go for it as long as you know you don't hurt anybody!Fashion is an expression of one's inner self and not a reflection of every one's expectation of what should be expressed. I love seeing someone walk down the street in their own world of AWESOMENESS!!!Dare to stand out!

So next time,  whenever you will go out  just follow what you think your style which I am sure would be unique and special in itself.

I'll end this blog with a quote from the famous Coco Chanel:

Smokey Hot Eyes!

I have been a fan of smokey eyes. I feel the glamour and sophistication when wearing it. As I am a newbie in makeup, proper techniques are essential  to achieve the perfect smokey eyes.  When you get it wrong, you look like a scary white lady in one of those horror movies. lol. The key to a smokey eye is pairing a lighter base with the darker hue.
I decided to do a black-dark brown-bronze-gray smokey eyes.
(Colors may vary from picture to picture since I used my Iphone camera only)
